Paul O. Shupe, AIF®, ACAS

President, Investment Advisor Representative, Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®)

 

Paul has been in the Financial Industry for over 30 years.  He started his career as an Actuary with Colonial Penn Insurance Group and later worked for The Hartford Financial Services Group.

As an Actuary with a degree in Applied Mathematics, you can be assured Paul is going to understand the numbers. He is very analytical and still considers himself a "numbers geek".

At Wealth Management Services, Paul serves as an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) specializing in Qualified Retirement Plans (e.g. 401(k), 403(b), SEP IRA, and SIMPLE plans), as well as personal asset management.

Paul has qualified for and was awarded the AIF® Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.  AIF designees undergo rigorous initial and ongoing requirements to attain and retain their designation.

The Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designation is the mark of commitment to a standard of investment fiduciary excellence. Those who earn the AIF mark successfully complete a specialized program on investment fiduciary standards of care, including a Code of Ethics expected of all credential holders, and subsequently pass a comprehensive examination.

Paul enjoys the freedom of an Investment Advisor Representative.  He has no relationship with a broker/dealer, which means Paul is truly working for the client with no conflict of interest. Traditional brokers who say they work for you, are paid by the Broker/Dealer firm, and must consider their firm's interest as well. 

One of the unique features at WMS is the use of Riskalyze, a tool that measures your individual risk tolerance accurately.  Using Riskalyze, we will also measure your portfolio risk, then provide guidance when these risk levels do not match.  Paul challenges you to take a risk tolerance and portfolio assessment and believes they will not be aligned based on past experiences.  Other advisors without the proper tools are just not matching the client’s portfolio risk with their risk tolerance.

Paul grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He lived and worked in the area until he had enough of the cold winters and moved south.  Paul lived in Charleston, SC and Atlanta before finding the perfect place to live, Sarasota.

Paul wants to help in any way he can and is thankful for a career where he can help people and make a positive difference in their life.

Daniel Krieg

Investment Advisor Representative

Daniel entered the financial services industry in 1994 joining MetLife; where he was successful helping families meet their insurance and investment needs. During his time there he qualified for multiple Leaders Conferences, earned membership into the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table and received MetLife's certification as a Financial Planner. After just over 5 years, his client’s needs lead him to leave MetLife and join Raymond James & Associates to choose from a greater choice of investment options. Daniel was successful at Raymond James & Associates as an Associate Vice President of Investments and received additional certification classes from Raymond James Financial Services, in Financial Planning and Qualified Pension Plans.

In 2003 Daniel transferred his business to Raymond James Financial Services as an independent advisor to serve his client’s needs first, instead of Raymond James & Associates as his employer. From 2003 until 2012 Daniel worked as an independent investment advisor but still through a Broker/Dealer relationship. In May of 2012 Daniel decided to open his own Independent firm as a Registered Investment Advisor Firm (RIA) where he can truly work in his client’s best interests, putting them first. Working as an Investment Advisor Representative, he is prohibited from accepting commissions. He can only receive a fee from his investment service/ advice, and has NO Broker/Dealer Relationship.

Daniel has also completed a number of classes toward the ChFC Designation from the American College, as he continues to expand his knowledge of cutting edge investment options and strategies to help his clients achieve their life’s goals. 

Lucien Sanchez

Investment Advisor Representative

Lucien Sanchez has 20 years of experience in the Financial Service Industry. He has served for 17 years as a corporate executive for the Gardinier Group in France and in Florida. As an assistant vice president, he worked in wealth management at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Raymond James and MetLife Securities.

Lucien Sanchez holds a BBA and an MBA in Business Management from The University of Sarasota, Florida (Argosy University).
